Privacy Notice relating to the use of Scanovate Services

 

Scanovate Ltd. (referred to as “Scanovate”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this Privacy Notice) offers a cloud based platform for accelerate Business Processes by Digitizing Compliance Controls and Identity Management

throughout the entire Business Value Chain. (the “Services”).

This privacy notice (“Privacy Notice” or “Notice”) explains how we treat Personal Data that is transferred to us in the course of our provision of the Services. “You” refers to the company or business entity using the Services.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you use the Services, we collect you name, company name and e-mail address. Such data contain information on your employees or other personnel from which such persons can be identified, including their first and last name and email address, (“Personal Data”).

We collect Personal Data for marketing reasons so we can get back to the person living the data and explain more about our product.

How we handle Personal Data

When we collect Personal Data, we act as a data processor and you act as a data controller. Accordingly, we process Personal Data only in accordance with your instructions (specifically, your instruction that we process personal data for providing the Services to you).We do not use Personal Data for any other purposes other than for the provision of the Services to you.

As we are a cloud based platform, we store Personal Data that is collected in the course of the Services on third party storage providers, such as AWS. We do not share Personal Data with other third parties unless you give us express permission for us to do so.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent Personal Data from accidental or unlawful loss, use, alteration or disclosure. We limit access to your Personal Data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a need to know. We require them to only process Personal Data on our instructions and as allowed by applicable law.

We retain Personal Data for as long as necessary to provide the Services. Upon the termination of the Services, we will delete all records of Personal Data that was collected by us in the course of the Services.

I confirm that I have read this Privacy Notice and warrant that any Personal Data of data subjects provided to Scanovate was lawfully collected (including through obtaining consent and providing notices where required), and that I am duly authorized to transfer such Personal Data to Scanovate for its processing in connection with the provision of the Services.

Where a data controller has an online presence, the WP29 recommends that the controller provides a privacy notice which is layered. The data subject should have a clear overview of the information available to them and on finding detailed information within the layers of the notice. The Guidelines provide that the first layer should always contain information on the processing which has the most impact on the data subject and processing which could surprise the data subject

We periodically appoint digital marketing agents to conduct marketing activity on our behalf, such activity may result in the compliant processing of personal information. Our appointed data processors include:
